Criteria for Participation

The organiser shall not be held liable for any programme changes, delays or cancellation of one or more activities or the entire course due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, in particular, circumstances such as outbreaks of communicable diseases, pandemics, quarantines, national or regional emergency measures and other cases of force majeure. Audition Guidelines

Auditions are organised for 9 violin, 3 viola, 3 celli and 1 double bass. Your audition should include excerpts from the specified audition repertoire, which consists of the first movement of a solo concerto and orchestral passages. For the solo concerto, please select one concerto from the suggested Audition Repertoire (see Chamber Orchestra Workshop 2024). Please ensure that all orchestral parts are thoroughly prepared.

Audition Process

The audition process is summarised as follows:
1. select the repertoire for your video audition (Audition Repertoire)
2. Produce the audition video according to the guidelines provided (Audition Guidelines)
3. Submit your video by either publishing it on a video portal (such as Youtube, Vimeo, ...) and entering the URL in the application form or by transmitting it via WeTransfer directly to office [at] accademiavicino [dot] eu

After the completion of the selection process, you will receive notification of the outcome via email. Please note that the jury's decision is final and cannot be contested. Legal recourse is excluded. The evaluation of the audition will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties. As the number of participants for the Accademia Vicino di Accumoli is limited, in cases of equal qualification, the ranking will be determined based on the date of receipt of the application.

Costs

Participation in the academy (including lessons, community events, parties, transport, materials, academy shirts, etc.) is free of charge. However, participants are responsible for covering their accommodation expenses, capped at €35 per night, and meals, estimated at approximately €10 per day. The organiser will provide assistance in arranging appropriate scholarships, such as ERASMUS grants and various other funding opportunities.

Organisation

The organiser will provide assistance with both arrival and departure arrangements, as well as accommodation reservations (please specify your preferences on the application form). Lessons and auditions will be held at the Scuola di Ricostruzione di Accumoli, located at via Pasqualino snc, 02011 Accumoli.  Accommodations for this year's program will be situated in and around Accumoli.  The primary language of instruction for the course is English. Transportation, transfers, and excursions will be organised by the organiser.
